I can help you out. Check out my website at www.xtrememotorsports-cm.com for more info. We can get you in a long travel 4 seat Sandcar for $19,500 + Tax and license. All high end components with no cheap import stuff. PRP or racecraft suspension seats, crow belts, King 2" Coil Over shocks with Reservoirs, douglas wheels, 930 Microstubs, disk brakes, 4 piston calipers, chromoly cv cages, 13 gallon fuel tank, gear one rack and pinion, powdercoat, aluminum side panels, 1915 VW engine and prosand 002 bus. If you want we can do 33" Dunlap Mud Terrain tires in place of the sandtires. at no additional cost.
Also i have a full body option (windshield, firewalls, dash, center console, roof, etc) and a roof rack that are perfect for running in the hardpack out around Occatillo (spelling?)
If you need more power we do a 3.2L Honda VTEC V6 engine with a Mendeola E tranny that runs awesome as it puts out about 300HP.
Just for an idea. We are in the process of doing this Dune Racer chassis, with the 300HP V6, Mendeola trans, Ron Davis radiator, full body, roof rack with four hella lights, power steering, front brakes and all the goodies Inlcuding a 5" screen Lowrance GPS, for under $37,000.
Good luck in your search. if i can be of any help, let me know. Ignore the boxes in the pictures as those are gone now.![]()
Alan makes a really nice car. I've seen his work, and he's devoted to the desert.
If you wanna build it yourself....check out Chenowth. I have their 4 seat explorer frame in my garage now. I'm doing a chevy 4.3/ 091 driveline. It's a nice frame for the $$$. Their reputation is second to none. Understand it's not to the caliber of a full A-arm preunner, but it's a nice beam car. I should get 15" front, 18" rear when I'm done.
Check out Desert Dynamics.
