Re: Ticketmaster
All,
I have lots of feelings about this past weekend in CORR, a majority of them great one. First of all, everyone I saw was smiling, excited and having a fricken killer time. That goes for drivers, fans and sponsors. Yep, there were issues but there were issues at the first Riverside, Mickey Thompson and Crandon too.
As for the cost, think about it a minute. The tickets weren't dirt cheap, but there were no additional pit pass costs, parking costs or extra to watch the concerts either. Realize that great sound systems, four huge television screens etc, etc is not cheap either. Compare that to going to Fontucky for the NASCAR boys or Long Beach for the Grand Prix -- never mind the NFL. Way better value for the money -- not to mention some of the most entertainment I've ever seen.
Besides, when was the last time any other group had to own millions of dollars worth of dirt close to a huge residential market just to set up a venue for a couple of weekends?
Thanks CORR and Mr. Baldwin. I cant wait to spend even more money racing a Nissan Pro-Lite at your event next week....

Re: Ticketmaster
My friends and me all bought 4 day packages from ticket master for $170 to sit at the top of the bleachers ($50 seats) but when we went to the track a week before the event we noticed that our seats were only $40 dollar seats putting us down by the fence so we spoke with the people on-site and told them what had happened and she was very understanding and replaced our tickets with the good seats that we had paid for. Advertising wasn't that great don't get me wrong the Baldwin's did a hell of a job putting this together and advertising, but Nissan didn't do there part with promoting it all over So-Cal like they had said and i heard Baldwin's weren't too happy about that. This was my first time going to a CORR event and it was a lot better than Mickey Thompson, but as far as ticket pricing goes I would probably pay even double to watch what i watched this weekend and its only 5 minutes away from my house. This weekend was very Awesome i just want to say thanks to the whole Baldwin family and CORR for putting on a great event and i can't wait until next weekend!

Re: Ticketmaster
Here is what I see the problem being.
1. Gas at 3.00 a gallon, I don't see to many people willing to drive down to the boarder for an off-road event right now.
2. There is way to much going on this month to be driving down to Chula Vista. MORE, MDR, SCORE, Off-Road Expo, Halloween, and I have 2 other dezert trips planned.
3. I have only see 2 commercials, and they were both within 20 minutes on the same program. They need more Ads.
4. $7.00 a Beer, better be a Tall Can.
