    Old Style Shock Design

Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer that still makes a 3" coilover shock with the "clicker" rebound adjusters that work via internal bypass through the piston? I'm working on an application that doesn't need "position sensitivity" nor does it need an extra shock besides the coilover. But, it would be really nice to have some external adjustability over rebound and compression. I have compression figured out but I'm looking for those old-style clickers to adjust rebound. Any thoughts or leads would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

that would be the old "walker evens shocks,or custers" they were bought out by sway away years ago, but if you want to call king shocks they were part of custer before they started out so you should call them .

Thanks, folks, much appreciated. I had actually talked to King already and they don't make any of that stuff anymore, not even spares. Nor did they know of anyone who did.

The Revolution shocks are intriguing. I'll give them a call.

    Re: Old Style Shock Design

I have an extra unused pair of Custer clickers. 14"x3" reservoir coilovers
with Eibach custom wound progressive rate coil springs. The valving shims
are the same as 3" Kings and King still sells the seals so you could keep these
things servicable for many years to come. They are the older 7/8" shaft ones.
PM if you want a price (since this is not the classifieds section.) Sometimes,
King has an old set laying around. But they are getting harder to find. The
clickers really do work, you can feel the difference. But with the addition of
a bypass shock, you don't need that adjustability any more. I run Custer clicker
coilovers all around on my prerunner and also on the front of my bronco. I like 'em.
I was saving these extras for the rear of my bronco but I'm happy with the leaf
springs with 3" King bypasses and have decided my bronco is done.

Sway-A-Way kept making the 3" clickers until just a few years ago. I think they can still service them in any way you need.
