F150 front Suspension
I have good rear springs and under my 98 F150 4x4, now I want to lift the front to level. Are there any re-indexed torsion adjistors available without buying a whole mega dollar lift kit? I am keeping all the components Ford(stock), so I just want to push the torsion bars all the way up then re-align the front end. I would probably go for a suggestion about an aftermarket shock tower, but not much more...
The opinions are out there......and they are important to me
thanks

Re: F150 front Suspension
I have seen those re-alignment cams that claim to add approx 2 inches of lift. Has anybody used these before. Do they effect the ride and life of the torsion bars the same as just cranking the stock ones?

Re: F150 front Suspension
Re-indexed keys are just that, they reposition the torsion bar at the rear mounting point for lift without having to crank any pre-load in the the bars.

Re: F150 front Suspension
When preloading or indexing the torsion bars to raise the front end you will loose downward suspension travel. If you go to far you could end up with no dropout because of the upper a-arm bump stop. Stock length shocks could limit your lift too.

I haven't used them but yes it would be just like cranking up the stock ones as far as ride. What I wonder is how these aftermarket torsion cups hold up compared to stock?
