Radiator mount foam?
I need some help on where to get radiator padding for a saddle mount. I haven't been able to find what I am looking for at Home Depot or Lowes. Can anyone give me an idea of what kind they used and where they got it? Thanks!

You can go to industrial rubber supply on Cuyamaca St. in El cajon and get sheet rubber. He is pretty spendy though. The other good place for rubber sheet is McMaster-Carr. They have everything online and if its in their LA store if you call before I believe 10:00am you get it the same day on weekdays. Their prices are pretty damm good and they even have rubber sheet that is adhesive backed. They are a pretty killer supply of all sorts of stuff. I usually use 1/8" thk and make sure that you look at the durometer # to make sure you get soft enough stuff.

If you live in San Diego, you have to check out Marshall’s Hardware just off Mira Mar Rd. on Production Rd. They will have what you are looking for. I like to just look around in there to get inspiration for new ideas. Huge fastener selection!

I take long thin strips of inner tube and wrap it around my mount and secure the loose ends with patch cement. Low tech but it works good.

Not sick in that "extreme" kind of way, its more of a weak stomach thing.

I was going to sugest the same thing. Great supply of fastners for metric or SAE specailly if you just stripped some odd ball bolt. Nice supply of cutting tools for those threads that just aren't right anymore. If you go to Marshalls you will want to go half way back and to the west in the cutting area on the left they will have what you are looking for.
