Paypal scam
Hey all:
There's a new paypal scam out there where they (the bad guys) send you an email receipt for something you did not purchase (in our case an Ipod). These guys appear to have a list of email accounts, including your name, that are linked to paypal and the receipt is identical to a real paypal receipt except for the link that says click here if you did not authorize this charge. DON'T DO IT! This thing is really sophisticated and apparently takes you to a site that looks exactly like Paypal. There they try to scam you for account info. According to Paypal reps this is the most sophisicated thing they've seen in a long time and it's getting a lot of people. Luckily, we called Paypal rather than following the link. Paypal told us this just ramped up over the last couple of days.
