Baja 1000 Classic DVD Bruce Brown
I just watched the Baja 1000 Classic video, I got it for Christmas this year. I never thought it would be as good as it was. I suggest everyone watch it, you'll be surprised at how good the coverage was 37 years ago!

I posted about this DVD over a month ago but I can't find it. I agree that it was excellent coverage for over 30 years ago. Really good helicopter shots and also some onboard footage...
we also have it for sale at www.dezertpeople.com

Re: Baja 1000 Classic DVD Bruce Brown
I picked up the Bruce Brown box set from my local cycle shop it includes the 68 B1K the original footage shown on ABC. It' a hoot to watch and I thought John Desoto trying to pass Parnelli Jones's Bronco on a bike was insane. The coverage was good and I though Jim McKay's interviews were pretty cool. There's also a Hare Hound DVD and Ascot & Hopetown Classic DVD that are just fun watch and reminisce.

DIRT was a good one as well. You can rent both of these movies from Netflix.

If that is the same footage used in "Drive Like Hell" in the end credits then that is the best save I've EVER seen. The rider bounced off the tank once or twice, then bounced off the footpegs, (without ever letting off the gas), then he hit another bump and was thrown off the pegs 'till his feet went above his head, basically he travelled ABOVE the bike for a while. It's really hard to explain just what it looked like but try and imagine this:
You zip tye your kid's "Tickle Me Elmo" doll to the handlebars of a 50cc bike running WFO through Lucerne and point it towards The Wall; Elmo skies it off the lip like Evil Kneivel and saves it.
