hopefully this is not taking your thread, but a while ago there was a post showing some of the large adjustable tube stand / jack stands (to set your chassis onto). i cant find that thread anymore even after a search. they were only about $50 or $60 from what i remember and wanted to get a pair. anyone have that info?????

Not taking the thread at all. Funny you should ask about those, I saved a couple of the sites for those from that thread a while back:

I've been looking for some really tall jack stands for a while. Does anyone see any objection to using a set of those. They say they have a 2500 lbs. limit each.

A great grinding/vise stand idea is to mount it on a huge semi break drum. Heavy and stable, but easy to move and 'mount' anywhere. Just kick and roll.

i dont have any pics but, we used some square tube and some plate top and bottom and just used quick bolts to the cement garage floor, you could also use drop in anchors. then just mount your grinder/vice to the top plate. the quick bolts wont pull out if set right, hope that helps in any way
