He did race the old truck at Laughlin. The spare tires are a dead giveaway

BITD had two Mexico races 2002, 2003 starting in Estero Beach (Baja Mex 300) doing a mini Baja 500 loop without the mike's, coyote, simpson section. I raced the first one. The course was fun alot of new roads, contingency was really small (nowhere near the 500), the turnout was low, mostly truck classes, not many TT's, 1's, hardly any limited classes ( 4 - 5/1600, 1- 1/2 1600, no 9 cars, 1 class 11,), not many Mexican racers. I didn't think the race organization was all that great, they tried to have designated pit areas, not very many course workers, They would have to get way more racers for it to be a sucess. We have not returned to any BITD race since.
Just my 2 cents.

Do any of the 5/16 guys know why the racers that are going to do the Baja Coalition series asked them to change it to the SNORE race?

The Coalition guy are clueless! Apparently they have not tried a BITD race. If they had they would come back. In 2004 when Ron was running the Coalition I went to Casy and asked what he could do for the Coalition. He made a great deal for them. I was racing in class 10 that year at all the BITD races so I would not be able to race with them. He let them make the class rules, offered a $500 entry for ANY race, Casy said he would see what they could do about getting the winner some t.v time and also offered to put some money into the Coalition end of year award money. The Coalition voted to race the Parker race and only 3 or 4 cars showed. It was sad! I know Ron felt bad and Casy was disapointed about the turn out. Even though it was voted on a lot of teams did not show because, It was to far, It was to long of a race, it was still to much money. Blaa Blaa Blaa!! Bunch of excusses! So this year I see that they are going to race Parker again. I thought great, hopefully this will be a great sucsess. Nope they canceled it. I dont know why, but it was probably a lame excusse.
Im over it!
Sorry to hijack the thread! Now back to San Felipe.

I don't recall seeing two riders on a bike or quad, either.
