James Marshall Benefit Glen Helen Day: Mar 21 2006

    Hi gang:

Those of you that follow MX already know about James Marshall's terrible crash in San Diego !

We have an opportunity to help out James through a Glen Helen Day on March 21, 2006

It would be nice if all of us could be there. I know this is not realistic but let's all do what we can to help make this a successful day. Even if you just come to watch others ride and donate a couple bucks I am sure it would be greatly appreciated.

    Updates from James Marshall website:

    March 7th

We have no new major updates that we can release to the public at this time. We have some very exciting progress that is occuring in James' body right now, but we are unable to share it until we can confirm with James' family. James is beginning to breath on his own for periods during the day as he is weaned off the ventilator. He is doing well and his spirits are postive. This is great news.

We are asking that all of you continue to pray for James, the family and the physicians. There are some very difficult decisions and uncertain circumstances currenty around James. We cannot share that information at this time, but we will when it is appropriate.

James will also continue to remain in San Diego for the immediate future. There were hopes that he and the family might have be able to continue rehab in Texas soon, but James' condition will not allow a transport any time soon.

Anyone wanting to go visit James in hospital again (or for the first time) are encouraged to do so at this time. The long lines down the ICU hall have calmed down and James' condition is much more stable. This is a great chance to support James and his fmaily in the hospital as he continues to recover. James has every email, letter and card read aloud to him so please keep them coming. Thanks everyone!

Thank you to Verm's Sportswear for donating the 125 t-shirts.

    March 3rd

March 15th, JAMES MARSHALL UPDATE! A Message From James to His Supporters

Hello Everyone, today is the first day we have had a major update for James in a bit. There really hasn't been anything new day to day until last night. Some of the crew from the HelpJames.org Outlaw Ride Day visited James yesterday. He was in good spirits and smiled often during our visit, we had the opportunity to pray with James for a speedy recovery. James is making improvements and there are some good signs that he will recover from this. Yesterday, they removed the tubes out of his mouth--which is a fantastic event. He is now completely off the ventilator and is breathing on his own. His body can now start to heal and best of all, he can now begin to speak (a very faint whisper). He still has some crucial time ahead of him as his spine is still healing from the accident and the swelling. To help that process, James currently has a Halo on (a devise that stabilizes his neck, head and spine). We asked James what he wants from the ride day and his answer was lots and lots of riding. After just getting the tubes removed from his throat he was eager to share this message with all his supporters.

I want everyone to know that I will recover from this………I want to say Thank You to everyone involved in my recovery……… I am realizing more and more that I have a long road in front of me. I hope someday I may ride again but the thing that I want most is to have a family someday. If I can do that I will be happy……… Words can’t express what I am felling right now; I am full of appreciation for the outpouring of love.

    Thank you... James
