Who's the fastest?

At the time of this reply RG was in the lead (go figure) at nearly 40%, more than twice that of 2nd place. Who would have known... It would be a hell of a lot more interesting to take a poll on the rest of the field, or to limit it to class. It's hard to make a broad comparison after hearing a truck like RG's fly by at mach speed.

You can all speculate on who is the fastest guy in the desert, Robby may be the fastest at times and he is a very talented driver, but I dont think he is someone that could win in any car in any class, Robby has 1 speed and its full out. Maybe this thread should have been the best driver out there and I will tell you and I dont care who thinks anything diffrent, but the best driver in the desert today is by far only 1 man and thats Rob Mac Cachren. I ve watched him my whole life and I ve seen him do things in race cars in the desert that most people wouldnt think of trying, and hes probably got more wins than anyone else out there counting all the diffrent classes and vehicles that he has raced in. Not taking anything away from Robby G cause hes a very talented driver and is one of the best at car control and is very good at PR , hes living the dream many will never get too. Jay, as we can all see, this thread is titled, "Who is the Fastest." Not questioning RM, yesh...guys a HERO, but...

Consider starting another thread for the category you want to support. If it is "Best Finish Ratio," "highest average finish" or best "Series Competitor" or "Easiest on equipment while still finishing on the podium" we won't rationalize why being the fastest qualifies RG to be the best in that thread. He's is the fastest.

Well if your going to get technical you can say alot of things. Because I clocked people at Parker and Robby wasnt the fastest where I was so he wasnt the fastest there but then again he was here but not there blah blah... He was just trying to make a point. Well if Robby is drivning his TT and Rob his 1600 then robbys the fastest if we want to be crazy technical we can be I say going with who is the best is a little easier.

I've had the opportunity to ride with Robby G. By far the guy has one speed and its balls to the wall. There is a big difference between guys who are fast and drive balls out and hope their equipment doesn't break, then there's the guys who consistently make it to the winner's circle (Larry Roeseler). It all just depends!

And by the way SCOOBS, I hope your comment was just a joke coz it made me laugh pretty hard when I read it!!

For those of you that didn't catch it;

Robby was Dave Dispain's Co-host on wind tunnel tonight.

The last question of the show was: "Robby, you have raced and won in everything, All paying the same, what would you choose if you could only do one of them?"

Robby's answer: "OFFROAD"

Oh and Robby could blow away anyone anytime in any Car.

He is flat out the fastest.

I should tell you some rental car stories from the East coast. But I will not.

I will tell you this much: 1 month ago, Robby in a Pontiac rental car, parks the car for return in NC; front brakes explode into flames. LOL

Question says who is the fastest. Hands down its RG. He is always in the lead untill he has a problem. That makes him the FASTEST. NOT THE SMARTEST or best at finishing but he is the FASTEST till it breaks which it usally does.......end of story

If we were to say who is the "best"? well... Guys like Rod Hall have a "best" stat list that is incredible.

robby is the fastest. hands down.

Anyone that says he isnt is simply lieing. This pole is not who wins the most races or finishes or anything. Its about who is the fastest!
