    wheel balance projects?

does anyone know if you can balance 37" projects on beadlocks? I just finnished my truck and have that un-balanced wheel feedback in the steering wheel. I asked a couple people and they did not know for sure because of the beadlocks. Has anyone ever balanced theirs?

    thanks, Dennis

You should be able to balance it. But make sure everything is seated exactly right, and running true. Balancing won't correct an out-of-round condition.

    Re: wheel balance projects?

took my tires to the balance guy, they cant do it. Problem is the tires are way "un round" i saw them turn one of the tires on the machine, way wobbley. The tire guy was trippin, he never had seen something so far off that was brand new. So, i guess that answers my question, you cant balance projects.

what about having them shaved? ive seen it done. its like a basic lathe process but for tires. doesnt cut into your tread any, just removes the excess from one side.

We do it at True Line. Both trueing and balancing. Yes, they can be balanced. We do both operations on the car, so we'll need it there. Call me first 619-417-4224 (cell)

took my truck down to True Line. Tony took care of it as well as some handy info on a few other driveline issues. If your in east county (san Diego) and need a driveline fix, now you know where to go. He also races so they have a clue on "off road" vehicles. Thanks again Tony.
