in one of my quad magazine they did a ride along with the border patrol quad devision. They said it is the most requested poistion in the border patrol. I assume its the same for driving the buggies. That would be great to get paid to ride and drive. Of coarse, I am sure that your boarder patrol boss would not apreciate a good pass in a wash

Cool! We never had anything like that when I worked for INS 10 years ago - at least not that I'm aware of. Back then, the most coveted Border Patrol job was the horse patrol in the cool mountains of San Diego County, but I can see how the buggy patrol would beat it out or at least tie it. Anyone know the specs, the builder and how many they have?

That looks like the new chenowth explorer 2 seater frame. I'm pretty sure they do all the government stuff, with the exception of the funcos in Glamis.

I have a "better job" story ..
A good friend of mine was a Newport Beach PD officer. He retired two years ago. I used to see him patrolling the beach on a quad or an SUV all summer long.

You think the "coyotes" are gonna order a 20 seat trophy bus to out run the chenowth. Its kinda like how nascar started with rum runners, both in boats and cars.
