Volkspower Racing heads East for the CORR Borg Warner World Championships!
Volkspower drivers, Jeff Knupp and Troy Morgan, will be competing in their first ever World Championship race on Labor Day in Crandon, WI in the CORR Single Buggy class.
Jeff, the current CORR West Coast single buggy point’s leader is looking for another good finish on the Crandon track. He had the opportunity to drive Troy’s car in the June race at Crandon, and with no seat time in Troy’s car and never driving the track he was able to squeeze out a 9th place finish in the 20 car field. This time, with the help of Maxxis Tires’, Creighton King, Jeff will be piloting his car in both races of the Championship weekend.
“I want to put out a special thanks to Creighton and the whole Maxxis Tire family for hauling my car across country so that I can race it”, says Jeff. “We are looking to go out and have a good weekend before returning to Chula Vista, CA at the end of September to continue working on wrapping up the West Coast point’s championship”.
For Troy, Volkspower Racing team members Dave and Kay Eyman will be transporting Troy’s car out East along with the Volkspower Racing hospitality trailer so that the crew has a place to stay at the track. “I’m looking to have a lot better run this time”, reports Troy. “In June, I had an ignition problem and a rear flat due to contact that led me to my only DNF this season. I’m hoping to try and run up in the front pack this time and come home with a good finish”.
Volkspower Racing would like to thank all their sponsors for their help and support getting them to this race.
Maxxis Tires, NAPA Auto Parts, Southwest Valley Sign-A-Rama, Action Auto Gearboxes and Osiris Shoes
Look for cars #354 and #355 and feel free to stop and say hi if you make it to the races.

Well Jeff and Troy are enjoying their stay at Crandon. This is definitely a different setting then Chula Vista. We had a great time downtown in Crandon. Crandon has a lot of culture to offer the rest of the world. Crandon supports this race more than any other race town I have been in. Carig Parks was able to get a picture of a truck built out of actual wood, from the body, truck bed and even the wheels are 100% tree!!!!! You had to see it to belive it. Tune into our website for pictures of this one of a kind truck.
Now about the race course. Practice was very muddy, almost like driving on ice. Race conditions will be much better we hope. Currently we are getting ready to go and see Vic Ferrari Band light up the night.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to Total Off Road for all the hard work to get Volkspower ready for Crandon.
Outgeared big time!!!!!!!!!!!! The top 3 to 5 guys are geared for the long runs crandon has to offer. For the single buggy class it is not as technical as chula vista. It comes down to front row hole shot and having the tallest 4th gear to win in crandon. Steiny is a veteran at this course and you can tell by his prep. Steiny prepped three cars 1 in light, 1 in single and 1 in super buggy all three cars dominated this weekend and won the overall midwest championship. Hats off to him. This is definitely a course that you bring a tranny spefically built for long runs. The overall turn out to crandon was amazing. There were a lot of people from all over the surrounding areas that came to watch. Can't wait tell we get our cars back to chula vista. On sunday seefelt had a very bad crash on the start, glad to see that he was able to walk away from it.

Wasnt really a homework issue, the trust fund is running low and we didnt have any extra money to build new gearbox's. Oh well, maybe next time. All in all it was a good time, no major damage, now we are just that more fired up for Chula Vista.
We would like to thank everbody at MAXXIS Tires for there help, along with Dircks and Porter Racing for there help and for hauling old #354 home from Crandon.
Hopfully everything gets sorted out with the the two series so that this stuff keeps growing, it sure is fun.
Oh yea, cant forget Brian and the crew at Total OFF Road for all there help!
Trust Fund? If I would have know you had a trust fund I would have been kissing up to you more Jeff!!!!
Where did your 2 cars end up placing? Was Crandon as cool as everyone says it is?

Should have payed more attention shane, were else do you think I could get the money for 2 cars!
Troy got a 9th and 13th, and I got two 12th place finishes, which was weird since the 1st day I had shifter problems and had no 2nd gear for 5 laps, than sunday I guess i just sucked. Oh well, I'll be happy when we get to Chula Vista in 2 weeks. Dircks and Porter got my car home in one pice last night, and we started tearing it apart tonight to get it all prepped for the next one.
