Thumbs up Your ultimate Play/prerun vehicle

What Would be your ultimate go anywhere play/prerun vehical. Something that could go to the dunes and prerun the Baja 1000. Something that could make it through the Rubicon and make huge jumps, and not kill yourself? What would you build?

For me it would be a cross from a 5 seat front engine truggy with a pro 4 style 4 wheel drive, an 800HP motor, auto trans and those 39 in BFG tires Herbst is running on thier truggy. Also with 25 in wheel travel in front and 35 in wheel travel in back. New Fox 4.5 5way bypass at all corners and 3incoilovers at all corners.

    I have a two seat, four-wheel drive, a-arm independent rear suspension, mid-engine, race car-prerunner.
Does great for rock climbing, sand dunes, hard pack, Mex and just about anything else.

    It's called a...

That would be the ultimate if it was street legal.

Bronco! Beamed. Good setup for 18 inches of travel, Cheap, 4X4, Reliable, Holds 4 people. You could make a nice one of these for 25K and be able to go anywhere and drive it home when your done. When you say ultimate, I like to stick to reality a little bit.

The H1 is great, but I've never seen one fly through a rough whoop section without bouncing all over the place.

I don't think the Hummer could be considered an 'ultimate' anything. I like them as a parts source for Brad Falin's Class 1 car though.

    Re: Your ultimate Play/prerun vehicle

I REALLY like the McMillin Ford Supercrew built by Raceworks. 4 doors, 4 seats, lots of room, everything you need inside and outside, radios, and a sealed cab for heat and A/C purposes. As nice as some of the buggy prerunners are today you can't beat a sealed cab with heat and A/C for when the weather gets unpleasant. But the reason I like it most is because it is a tubular chassis truck with 4WD. The only part I don't like is the Ford part, throw a Chevy cab on it with an LS7 or a Toyota Tundra cab with a punched out 4.7 or the new 5.0+ motor they will have starting with the 07 models.

I am pretty sure the McMillin truck you are talking about was built by Curry?

No Eric is right the Stewart's Raceworks 97-03 body style supercrew F-150. Their is an awesome skunkz on it on this here fine website. Eric it is probably the ultimate in my eyes. 4wd is a must! Or like u said a 4wd crew cab Tundra with the new drivetrain, but for God's sake shorten the wheelbase. Looks like a limo to me
