Will, I think you have the right idea. I know not many favor the short course stuff but the reality of putting on another race in mexico is probably not an option. Barstow is out anyways.... So if I need the points and Terribles cup is an option then I think it would be highly considered. Not all of us could afford another race in the year such as mexico or even one in the U.S.; Terribles Cup could be a cheaper option in some cases for some teams to get some much needed points.
Most of you guys are way off the point? And yes there are a bunch of cool races and possibilities but this is about Score.
The Score 2007 schedule is inked and all I am recommending is to make the Terrible's Cup event an optional points race, with the intention being to attract a full field of cars.
Here is the schedule:

I assumed one of the reasons why Terrible's wasn't a points race was because it couldn't handle the number of entrants that most other races have.
Here's a thought...
While at the last Primm race, rumor I heard around the casino was that the entire Primm Valley exit (including Whiskey Pete's) was being bought out by Terrible's and the plan was to call it "Terrible's Town." Is that actually true? If so, you'd think Terrible's would want to change the Primm race to the Terrible's Cup instead. Hmmm ...

What about Barstow to Lucerne and back?
Big loop.
The only problem is 247.
Well and the BLM of course.
I heard a rumor that SCORE could never do a race in those places again.
Does anybody know why?
Sal and MORE or MDR could do kind of a combined venture
just thinking out loud
Hey, what about a 100 mile loop race in the Imperial valley. Plaster city, superstistions, Ocittillo wells and back along the Chocolate montains. You could go around 3-4 times to make a 400 mile race. The I.V. is kind of centerally located for everyone. Starting postion to be determand by a three legged sack race. lol
Guys, this isn't an open forum on what our options could be for another points race. Will has proposed this idea to Sal for next year! SCORE can not add any more races to the schedule next year so all of your ideas are way off topic as he mentioned. So with that in mind.. What do you think about his proposition of making terribles cup an additional points race?
i think it might be a good idea! and the big reason score wont have a race in plaster city is there are no hotels anywhere near that area! and they wanna attract more people and make it more exciting and make money in the process! and terribles cup is a race that is exciting, has hotels near by. so its not going away. why not make it a points race! it adds some excitement!!!!
I don't think it should be a points race. It should remain a non-points race how it is now. Every video I have seen from that race, its only be a demolition derby with broken parts and torn up cars in the end. Not to mention the concrete walls on the corners.
one way or the other, i cant wait to go to that race next year!
