    2 bbl carbs for offroad

I am changing my class 1/1600 (sp 1 bbl carb) into a class 12 (1776 dp 2 bbl carb). SCORE Rules state carb is limited to 42mm vents. The only 42 carb I could find is the 42 dcnf which supposedly has float probs offroad....so are there other 42's out there for offroad use?

Are the vents in a 42 actually 42mm?

Can you install smaller vents into a larger carb...like 42 into a 48 idf?

    Thanks,
    Grayson

Cal JayCee...Jack Sachette. He just did my brother-in-laws 48 idfs out to 51.5 They are monsters! Jack knows all the tricks to carbs. Kawell is another good carb source. There's a ton of VW carb info out there, just gotta go find it. Try samba.com also.

I say go to a weber 40 IDF, and go from there.
