Re: Prarie city track open to anyone??
Chip,
Yes the park is open all weekend, and closed on Wednesday(?).
It's $5.00 to play all day. Go through the main gate and they will direct you to the 4-wheel area (just past the main motorcycle pad). They have a kart race track, 1/4 midgets, Hangtown track, and a new BMX layout.
Go to the OHV park website for California and they list the OHV parks, etc.
There several groups that go out there.
Ask around when you get there, they can tell you what club they belong to etc.
Have fun, keep the greasy side down.

Really there isnt any desert type stuff to prerun on up here. For that you need go to nevada. We prerun our truck in weeks. But if you are just looking for a good play around place you could try greenhorn which is up in grass valley which is an ok place for trucks. PM me and I can get you some numbers and locations of a couple of places.

Marysville isn't too far.. what kind of running are we talking about here? is it wide open enough to get sideways and hit some jumps/whoops??

Might also want to look into Stony Ford. I had a REALLY good time there with a buggy club a few years back. Place is friggin' huge, and lots of trails that you can feel comfortable about opening it up without fear of killling a 7 year old coming the other way on a quad.
Always call first and double check it'll be open, etc.

Yeah, if you've got a real fast truck, Marysville might be a good place to make a few test runs, but on some weekends theres ALOT of quads and bikes.
