hers one for you.-3 guys go to a hotel to get a room. they ask the consierje how much and he says 30 dollars. they all pitch in a 10 spot and head for the room. after a couple hours, the consierje is feeling good and decides to give them a break on the price. he tells the bell hop to take 5 dollars up to the guys in room 303. on the way up in the elevator, the bell hop is trying to figure out how to devide 5 bucks between 3 guys. he figures since they don't know any better, he will just give them each back a dollar and keep the rest as a tip. now the guys each have their dollar back so they have each paid 9 bucks. the bell hop is happy with his 2 dollar tip. 3 times 9 is 27 plus 2 is 29. who stole the other dollar?

I think I have a solution.
The answer lies in the fact that it takes a while for anyone to answer.
When your blind fold is removed you see 2 green dots and you see both other people raise their hands (indicating that they each see at least one green dot)
At first you think "since each of the other people see's the others green dot, my dot could be red or green"
Then you realize that no one thinks he is the smartest man in the world yet, untill........
You examine the case if you were to see a red dot on one head, a green dot on the other, and everyone raise their hands. This would mean that the person with the green dot on their head sees a green dot on your head.
This is a trivial case and makes the game an uneven contest because to some of the players the answer is obvious and to others it seems like a paradox.
Therefore the only way for the game to be equal is if everyone has a green dot, and the first one to examine this indirect proof of the color of the dot on his own head is the smartest man alive.
