Re: 06 MDR Dash Video ---> Paradigm Productions
Now that I have seen this video , I think MDR owes everyone and official explaintion as to why there was not a DQ. I personally brought six sponsors to this event in the amount of $2000.00 in prize money and I owe them an explanation as to why they gave money to an organization that does not honor their own rules ! I attended the drivers meeting and Jim told everyone himself that anyone off course would be DQ'd. Without this explaination I will not ask my sponsors to contribute again to MDR. Some of my sponsors were there in person and would like to know !!

Well there were apparently a few people cheating, though some people think if you cheat less than the other guy its ok !! , who knows who the real winner was ?
All the cheaters need to be DQ'ed, that goes for other race Org's too.

You are correct in the fact that all cheaters need to be DQ'd ! Any protested entry that is caught cheating should have to run a cheater label on the side of their car for the entire season ( 11' x 14" ).

This video is not the same as the clip on the cd that was presented to MDR!!!!!!!!!!! I could not find the same thing on the video. The cd definitely showed a break in the time line. It did not show any other 16's.

I believe all cheeters should be DQ'd, and what was seen on the video clearly shows that the cheeter was not even close to the right line. What I do want to know is was it mentioned at the drivers meeting about the 100 foot boundry along pit road? There were several signs along the course infront of the pits that sayed stay to the left of the signs and if you were racing in the 100 ft boundry infront of the pits you would be DQ'd. I saw alot of car's, 1600's and trucks well within the 100 ft zone, some were racing hard within 10ft of peoples camps. Since everyone is talking about saftey and all I thought that this should be brought up.

Yes the 100' boundry was mentioned at the drivers meeting as well as the BLM would be watching for cars racing off course and that this would cause further action in regards to closing our desert ! apparently some were not listening or not at the meeting !

Re: 06 MDR Dash Video ---> Paradigm Productions
After watching that video it just looked like he was taking a better line to me, wasn't that far off the marked course. It thought that part of desert racing, being able to find faster lines. They did their homework, pre-ran more than anyone else and found a better line. I'm not saying that SE didn't cheat, just looking at his times alone compared to the other 1600 cars was some evidence of cheating. But from what i seen in this video it was just a smoother, faster line, not a cheater line.
In the journey of life the idea is not to arrive to your grave safely with a well preserved body, but rather skid in sideways, worn out, screaming, "HOLY $**T-what a ride!"
