Ram air on bikes?
Has anyone ever seen a Ram air setup on a bike, like the kind on some trucks? Would it work well?

Re: Ram air on bikes?
Most of the manufacturers use a pressureized air box on the 600 and 1000's sport bikes. Dont think it would work on dirt bikes due to the dust- shorter time to clog the filter. Thats why the intakes are usually hidden under the seat.

Another way of putting this. The Airboxes on Dirt bikes work with negative pressure. They draw the air in they need. Forcing anymore air in just creates turbulence and upsets the fuel intake. So opening airboxes, or forcing anymore into them isn’t doing much. You might get some additional HP from opening an airbox but you are also introducing more dirt. The trade off is reliability.

Think of this way. For a drag bike fine, but for a long run after the filter clogs with dust you will lose HP.
