Just drove through Rancho Cucamonga and up the Cajon. It's windy, REALLY FREAKING WINDY. If you've got an RV / Camper / ??? watch out. Coming up the 15 through Rancho cars and trucks were swapping lanes. By the time you reach Victorville things seem to calm down a little. Be careful on the roads today!

Small note to add to that. The 15 will be down to 1 lane from the 19th to the 22nd. I sugest taking the 29 plams/ amboy route to Laughlin.
Where did you get that info? There is nothing on the caltrans website about the 15 being reduced to 1 lane except for the night work Monday-Thursday NB from midnight to 8a.
The closure for this weekend is the NB 215 connector to NB 15.
I got it from my caltrans email I get weekly but it changes all the time so I could be wrong. At any rate the amyboy route is a good time saver any way you slice it. I highly sugest it to anyone that lives in the OC/IE area.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

We go take this route everytime to the river. It is way better and feels like it's quicker than the 15/40 boring drive.
15 is down to one lane today. I passed it this morning @ 5am. 40 is all new for 20 miles @ Essex. We start the north side (West bound) on wednesday. Watch out for CHP in the construction zones, there are 3 of them there all the time.
