Hi Logan, You are right this is crazy. If anyone goes back and reads my posts, my original gripe was and is the "right on" "way to go" posts that seem to encourage rough driving. It just pissed me off. Then I got sucked into a debate about our crash that I have my own opinions on and people with no idea or facts just kept piling on. It's just gone down hill from there so I'm done with it.

Hopefully people will just think about this at the next race and everyone will try to have a clean race.

We read the debate 2 months ago, what you don't think some of us don't remember all that was said, we knew what happed then, and its the same thing Pete said here today, then you attacked Pete as being a bad driver.... Don't try to act like your all innocent and people don't know what happened.

That last sentence from you above still comes off as you thinking Pete doesn't race clean and your still trying to school him on racing.... bumping is part of desert racing and if you don't like it tuff, its always been like that.

wtf??? i take the kids snowmobiling for the weekend and i return to this???? for starters, laughlin was total mahem from my 23rd starting position, i was in traffic every lap, some guys easy to pass and some very difficult. i tried to get by the herbst truck several times in that lap and they seemed to NOT want to yeild the position, (i dont blame them) but the time had come to get by and i didnt expect them to slow so much in that area so we had some contact, no harm done to either truck and i was by, period, i rubbed sides with several trucks but no harm done there either, the trucks up front had no altercations because they did not have to pass 15 guys on saturday, blame me for the herbst incedent or not, in our class if you are caught and not out of the way you are going to get notified!! i realize that and so do the serious competitors in my class. as for the jeepspeed incident: the guy posting here was not in the jeepspeed and does not know what happened, i was driving my truck and know exactly what happened, fault??? i dont blame eric nor does he blame me, i was approaching a slower racer on a very silty section of the coarse, wind SLIGHTLY to my left, i was RACING and he was ALSO, i was going around 70-80 and he was probably going 40-45, i decided to pass on the less dusty right side and proceced to take on the bushes and just blast by 15-20 yards to his right, as we are going by he turns toward us trying to get out of our way, but we are not behind him but beside him and he hits our left front wheel area with his fight front corner and we slap the sides of our vehicles and we continue on as we THOUGHT he did, end of story until the race ends and we here about the jeep incident. for erics brother to contend that we hit the jeep is rediculous, look at any photos of my truck or the jeep and you will see absolutely NO damage to the back of the jeep or the front bumper of my truck, the only damage to my truck was the back of the hood and the left door, fault????? ,

Pete, I don't think you were at fault ever. As you know I'm an engineer and have done a DFMEA. I think it's driving suit issues. If you had a new fancy Sparco, Impact or Simpson suit it would give just that little extra edge needed that would pull you in front of these situations.

Sorry Pete. You and Humper with a generic Jegs suit just will not give you the added performance required when running TT.

Get the new suit-> win another race. Time is ticking before the 425.

Sorry Pete, I just thought it was a great photo, didn't mean to get you into this. Since I was there taking the photo, I can tell you that only a handful of guys were hitting this section like a "double jump". If you hit the first one hard/fast enough the front end would sail over the 5' hole. Pete was one of those guys. Herbst seemed to slow down for it every lap. I personally think it suprised Pete a little because Pete let off after he hit him instead of pushing him sideways. Guess I'll get permission next time I post pic's.

Not your fault, its that team/group who made false slandering statements months ago, that where cleared up and proved false ( that Pete drove off and left hurt people) then another vendetta was started by the same team/group trying to slander Pete again over nothing.

Pete's a stand up guy, there's a reason everyone (except PAB) loves him and loves watching him race. Your grievences with him are misplaced and your argument that the pics prove he's not a safe driver are wrong as there are two other pics of other trucks doing something similar, one of which is Andy M and I don't think anyone would argue he's not a safe driver!

Well there you have it; a crappy statement from his legal department. Any further discussion and it will have to be taken under deposition after interogs are asked and answered within the next 60 days.
