Re: MDR race on the 17th
I checked the MDR website today and this was posted in the message board.
Recently the BLM presented their master plan for the Plaster City OHV area. The BLM supports the MDR program and expresses their desire to see off-road racing continue in the area. MDR is pleased to announce more routes will be available for racing in the Plaster City OHV area. MDR is working closely with the BLM to certify additional courses. The requirements to open the new routes are to have the proposed courses surveyed by an archeologist. The archeologist and his/her team must walk every mile of the course and certify it open for racing. The BLM is fully committed to this project. The BLM has limited resources and personnel and the surveys will take time. In order to speed the project, it was presented to MDR to form a working partnership with the BLM and the county to pool resources and arrange to have an archeologist start the project immediately. MDR is in the process of contacting several archeological companies to bid on the project. This project will secure the future of off-road racing in the area. It will be a mile by mile effort, the result – great local racing for everyone.
All MDR Superstition Series race teams will be asked to donate to the Plaster City OHV course fund. A $20 donation will be collected separately from each entry for the Plaster City course fund.
The first race in Plaster City is a bike race, MDR is now working with the bike club to certify and secure their course. Then we will work on additional sections to be certified for the MDR course. This will be a mile by mile project as funding is available.
Nothing has been said about any races being cancelled. Still no race map or entries listed for the Fud 200. It will be interesting to see what the entry count will be for this first race.

Re: MDR race on the 17th
i called around 4:45pm today to see if they got my app for the race and it has NOT been cancelled. she said the only reason there have not been too many updates on teh race is because most their energy is going towards the race this comming weekend and after will start updating the entry lists on line and what not.

Re: MDR race on the 17th
If anyone has maps of old Fud Races, this will help MDR with their effort. I have given what I had, but everything helps.
