Crew Cab Prerunners?
I am in the process of working on my 1983 GMC 1-ton Crew cab long bed 2x4 & I am debating on how much to shorten the frame, I like how the Tacoma crew cabs look but that would be too short to fit a bike in the back(maybe), the glass I am going to get is the same that Newhan used on his red chevy & I will probably end up overlapping the cab a little to get the bed length & as close to the wheel base I need. Should be a fun truck when finished.....my request is can anyone supply me w/ old/ new school pics of ANY year, manuf., 4x4 or 2x4, what ever pics that would be simuliar to what I have got going? Thanks guys!

Re: Crew Cab Prerunners?
are you sealing the back doors in order to overlap the fiberglass?

Re: Crew Cab Prerunners?
Make the bedsides 2 pieces so that part of the bedside is attached to the door permanately so it can swing with the door.

Re: Crew Cab Prerunners?
That is the plan, I got under the truck last night & decided that I will bee taking 28" out between the cab & rear axle. I want the rear doors to be functional so I will be making it so the rear doors have a portion of the bedside attacted. So the wheelbase will go from 164" to 136" which is pretty close to where I want to be, anyone got any bedsides that match my year?

Re: Crew Cab Prerunners?
That thing looks GREAT!!!!
If anyone gets more pics would you please post them?
I'm looking to do a similar thing except straight axle 4wd with spring under and c-notched frame. I'd like to follow anyones progress with a similar build.
For fiberglass, I was thinking of McNeil Racing's 73-91 blazer conversion to 2006. They have fenders and bedsides. I estimated the wheelbase would be 144" maybe too long.
