    Sparco seat owners only please.

Im only intrested in hearing form sparco owners please. I do not want this turning into a suspension seat vs non-suspension seat discussion. I have searched and read many posts about sparco seats on this forum and now want to here from drivers/riders only. The car Im planning on installing the seat in is 1-1600. The main reason for going with a sparco is the weight. Before any of you start telling me that I cant do that or its going to be a rough ride I want to here form drivers/riders only.

    So tell me...

    what vehicle you Drive/Ride in?

How many races/miles expierence you have with sparco seats?

Overall feeling of the seat after a race?

    Thanks Adam

Not as comfortable but way safer. I have 400 miles in Pete's truck in them and although it is tighter on the hips and not cushie you know you have a better seat under you.

Clyde bought two sets for the new trucks, when they are done..............

I may be a little bit smaller 5'10" 175, but i think they are extremely confortable and definately the safest seat also...

6'3 and 21 stone dont know what that is in kg.

I have driven Nissan Patrol practicly stock. Over 1000 kilometers longest time in the seat was 600k
Toyota Pickup long travel total chaos suspention. 300k
Jeep Speed'er buildup. No official raceing yet just sum preruning and testing.

And after all that all i can say is what you already know.
Light, tight, safe and rough. But i wouldnt go with anything else.

On the dakar i had the opertunity to try alot of different seats (as i was swapping from truck to truck). The only other one i liked was OMO as they were practicaly the same and a little cheaper and slightly bigger round the butt.

For a more comfortable sparco ride i suggest a lower lumbar support sparco do one for about 70 bucks i think. And lots of padding.

    Hope this answers any questions.

done about 500 miles in the evo2 (the wider evo) and for the first 10 minutes it feels like it pinches your hips, but then it becomes suprisingly comfortable and you totally forget about it, kinda feel more "solid" and one with the seat... and unlike suspension seats were you eventually have to keep adjusting your belts, it seems like you dont have to as much, or at all...

    i am 6'2" and 250lbs...

trophy truck prerunner is the vehicle.
although it is a tt, felt good after.. and the little bump at the end of the seat where your legs are is really soft, you dont have to... um, support them? as much..

Re: Sparco seat owners only please.

I understand your need for weight savings in your class, but a seat is really a safety device just like belts and a helmet. I race trophy trucks and have been using SPARCO seats for the last 4 years. I wouldn't even consider running anything else especially a framed suspension seat. I've personally known 2 people who have broken their backs in those type of seats. Just make sure that you get a tub seat that fits your body. They are supposed to fit snug but it's just as important that you don't move around in them. Once you use one in a race you won't want to go back. They feel like a race seat and not a sofa. You will feel more connected to your car and also be a lot safer.
