New Drawing Format At Baja 500

    From SCORE's website:

NEW DRAWING FORMAT AT BAJA 500

For Trophy Truck and Class 1 Unlimited

As previously announced at the end of last year, a new drawing format will be initiated at the Baja 500 for Trophy Truck and Class 1.

The top 10 finishers from the Baja 250 in these two classes will be placed into a primary drawing for class starting positions and then all other entries will participate in a secondary drawing for starting positions 11th and higher. Inclusion in the primary drawing is NOT automatic.

The 10 qualified drivers in each class must officially enter the race prior to the Friday, April 20 drawing date.
    ------------------------
The race bulletin and entry form are also on Score's website. Looks like the entry fee is the same as the 250.

Re: New Drawing Format At Baja 500

Why just Trophy Truck & Class 1, Fair would be after the 500 to allow a class 10 or 12 if they make the top 10. But that would not play at Primm since they run the split class race. Then if they where to use Primm overall for the 1000

    OVERALL FINISHERS 2006 Primm

Why???? So they can be run over, run off the road, or have the back of there car caved in by Ojos!!! Not safe, be realistic. Finishing that good is a great acomplishment (sp?) but the only reason for it is atriction. Ask PAB if he would want to start his 12 car in front of a bunch of Trophy Trucks and class 1 cars all foaming at the mouth at the start of a race,,,I doubt it.

By the way, it says the top 10 from "these two classes". I take that to say there will be 10 Trophy Trucks and 10 class one cars drawing for the first 20 starting possitions for the 500 and then the rest, or did I miss something?

top ten tt's draw for first ten spots in tt, top ten class ones draw for first ten spots in class one, yes the class ones still have to start after all the tt's not just the first ten

Primm wouldn't matter, it's only for the Mexico races not the entire season.

As technical the first 30 miles are I would think a class 10 with some one like Fortin or Maccachren would be a good bet to get it there. All it would take is a traffic jam. The Trophy truck that was jammed in to the bridge at the 250 is a good example, If it was not for the right line that would have been a mess. Plus that is total bull of abusive nurffing the rear cage of a 10 car with a truck. If you get caught get out of the way. There are people that race clean out there. I just put it out thanks for the nurf in my as$
