V4DR Press Release (post race) for MDR "King of the Desert" Race, April 21st

The first teaming of MDR (Mojave Desert Racing) and V4DR (Volunteers 4 Dezert Racing) was a great success! V4DR was accepted into the MDR community with great support from the volunteers as well as the Racing and Off-Road community and industry. With this support, V4DR was able to provide sufficient volunteers and contribute a safe and successful "King Of The Desert" race. Also, the volunteers will all receive a free "Cinco de Dezert People" Movie...courtesy of Curtis Guise of Dezert People (the movies will mail out after the May 5th premiere).

MDR attracted a 93-vehicle field of racers! The racing was fast-paced and exciting. The variety of vehicles of racing vehicles was vast, from Class 100 buggies (off-road Indy-cars) to the Class 1100 stock VW beetles!! As a checkpoint volunteers ourselves, Summer and I had the best seat in the desert!

V4DR sends out a big thank-you, to all the V4DR volunteers. These are the people who made our success possible. Of course another big thanks to Jim and Patricia of MDR for spending time with us to teach us about the details of the volunteer positions. Summer and I really enjoy sharing your home (the desert) with you! Also a big thanks to the racers who showed us overwhelming support...and honks/thumbs-up as you passed the volunteers. We really love this community!

MDR and V4DR both would like to have you all as volunteers again. People like you make these races possible!!!
