To all my so-called "Christian" detractors: An Open Letter

First off, let me say if I left you off the list, forgive me!

Please accept my apologies for breaching internet etiquette by expressing my ire incorrectly on the desert racing forum. I was still on the adrenaline high from winning my first race Saturday at the TT250. Noticed I was coming back to normal late Tuesday night. That must be what cocaine or crank are like, but without the teeth-gnashing.

I find it troubling when people take it upon themselves to speak for others (who cannot speak) they apparently don't even know, as it appears JeffLori2001 did. Jefflori2001 apologized to rdc and me early in that thread, and posted a more appropriate threadstarter yesterday.

I don't think the desert racing forum is an appropriate place to be spouting personal beliefs or politics. We have other forums on rdc for that, and lots of other spots online and off.

If you catch me doing that, please feel free to pm me and call me on it.

But the vehement attacks I received from the self-described Christians on this board dismays me!

I've had my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ probably longer than many of you have been on the planet, and a couple of questions for you all.

First, isn't the concept of forgiveness stressed throughout the New Testament?

Does not the Bible command us to judge not, lest we be judged?

Didn't Moses ask God the forgive the idolators, blind to their misdeeds?

Well, I could go on, but I'm sure you get my point.

Drake I understand where you were coming from but I think that everyone jumped at you because of the way that you brought it up. If this thread was started instead of that post you might have a higher rep. Everyone makes mistakes and it takes a real man to own up to them. I am not posting to take a shot at you. I am posting to show that I understand where you were coming from.

First off I did not atack, and am not now just to clear your questions.
Forgivness is the lords not mine, I can forgive the man, (for the sin against me, I didn't see one) not the sin.
We are to judge our brothers in Christ, it is called accoutablity. You are not to judge the non beleivers as they will be juged by the Lord.
Mosses did ask God to forgive others for there sins. That would be prayer.

Again not an atack on anyone, beleive as you will our don't that part is also not up to me.

While I didn't agree with the timing of your post I found it rather intolorant of people to bash you so much for your views.

I won't get into religion here as I don't think this is the place for it. But mankind needs to be more tolorant towards each other or we are going to end up killing each other over really stupid things. Oh wait we all ready are.

The bible also teaches us not to argue with a fool.... These boards are forums of opinions and if we all get to upset about what one another says then you are putting to much emotion in to this message board and you need to go find a hobbie.
