I believe the safety of the drivers is also the responsibility of the spectators. The safety of the spectator is the responsibility of the spectator.
This was clear disrespect to the sport. I hope this person comes out and appoligizes to car 599 openly and owns up to his neglect of common sense.
We as humans take chances every day at work, at play, in relationships etc...... and only god knows when these chances we take will catch up to us. But we should own up to our mistakes or shortcomings.

I also don't get why so many racers hadn't turned their lights on yet. Would help to reduce the frequencies of these instances. Dusk is the worst time for vision impairment and adding lots and lots of dust to the mix only worsens visibility. And of course, if someone is to cross the race course during the race, extreme care should be taken. I was only feet away from when the Fiberwerx 1450 truck cut across the course and was T-boned by one of the first class 1 cars at the Bud Light Dash a couple years ago. The powerful baja lights we have help others to see us much better.
