There are a ton of builders out there and a bunch that say they can do it. For my $'s I'd go with someone who's built them and who's cars are proven competitive and SAFE. Inexpensive usually costs in the long run and it kinda is like buying the cheapest helmet. Given that thought, I know the guy Worm is speaking with and they will do it right, but some of the others we've seen, no way. We've owned 2 chassis/cars from one of the largest car builders in the biz, both T housings were in crooked in the same way and the cars built years apart. I'm guessing they don't put the effort or dilligence into building 9 cars that they do their class 1's... Buyer beware...
I builded mine here in BAJA, Oscar Venegas in Rosarito made it on cromoly....I have about 4 races on it and my car is safe and fast....We are on 2nd place on the season...The car is SCORE certified
He was my car builder first, now is my friend....I can recommend you very much, in this moment he is building my class 1600 and a pre runner, both with a very competitive price and quality....
Yea, that is a good looking car. If you have any contact info for him, let me know. Also, for those wondering, I talked to Dave from Desert Dynamics today and he said the price for the chassis will be about $3200, and by tomorrow I should have full pricing for a car from the ground up.
Does anyone do a "tack kit" or just the tubing all bent for a 9 car? I can weld it, I just don't have the access to the tools for any length of time to bend the tubes up.
