    Chassis Builders

I've been looking into 9 cars for about 6 months now, and i've been trying to get a fabricator to build me one for about a month with no response, so now I'm just trying to find out who else is putting out frames. So far I've looked into Chenowth (challenger), Wicked Creations, Desert Dynamics, and Kat Metal Works. If anyone knows other people building 9 chassis, or any reviews on those ones listed above, that'd help out a lot. Thanksssss

Lothringer 909/596-4076, JFK Race Cars 760/240-4373, Curry and Ryan Schank has a 2 seater under another topic on this board...

Kreager told us last year that he would build one but that it would cost just as much as a 1/2 1600 car. You may want to try him.

What did the first 4 say? No response at all to phone calls? Just curious, good luck with the build.

Well, with Chenowth, I tried going through their distributor, Off Road Warehouse, who said they'd update their pricing and call me the next day, never did. Wicked Creations I haven't looked into enough, Desert Dynamics said he really wanted to do the car since he hasnt built one in years, but he is YET to gget me pricing, and unfortunately, i read a bad review about Kat Metal Works on here. I know its just one situation and one opinion, but since im new, i dont really want to risk it.. And JFK said they aren't producing cages, the "trophy nine" was a one off. So basically it's just harder then it seems to get a cage built. I'm still trying though.. Any more info helps. Thanks again

Let us know what Lawson (desert dynamics) says on pricing. I think a bunch of 9 guys are looking at getting new chassis.

    Re: Chassis Builders

I know we spoke with wicked creations about building us a rolling chasis and I believe the price was about 10k, dont quote me there as I suffer from CRS. The stuff wicked does seems to be of great quality and they have been very helpful to us even though we are not big dollar customers, check them out more I think they are running a real class act over there.

I bought my chenowth frame directly from them, you should not have to go thru a distributor to order one

    Re: Chassis Builders

I have a friend that is going to build frames that I have put down on paper with input of some good builders. We hope to have the pricing be around $2,500 for a basic 2 seat chassis with clamp in beam, trans mount and rear upper shock mounts. Then after that it depends on what the customer wants done to it. I have the prints drawn up, just need to get some time to start. I'm sure we will post when he starts the frames
