Re: DS450 from can am!
Yes, I saw one of the test bikes at Berts in Azusa when I was picking up some oil.
The bike is very intersting looking. From sitting on it, it seems skinny like a dirt bike. Very comfortable to sit on. The bike is very well thought out. The frame is really cool looking. The a-arms are aluminum, which I am not sure will last in the desert, but who knows. Stock it seemed to have a lot of ground clearance. The suspension was real stiff. Standing back and looking at it in person, it was a real nice looking bike. If I remember correctly, it had Holeshots tires stock.

I was talking with some guys at Alba about this new quad. they tell me the thing is all top end. its the kind of bike where you really have to pin it to go fast. not for the light hearted and unskilled riders. Not super rider freindly, you really need a lot of experiance before moving to this thing.

I seen a few over at Epic the other day. They looked pretty sick and very light! They all had good things to say about it.

Re: DS450 from can am!
The quad looks real cool and inovative. From what I've read and heard the bottom end on this quad is not all that good. I think the way it is set up it would be real good cross country quad, but without that bottom end its not going to be that good in xc. Now if you want to use out in the desert or mx track, you would have to widen up to 50" but by doing that your eliminating all that technology they used on those new arms and that axle. Plus, you would be adding the weight Can Am saved by using a hollow axle and those cast a-arms. You could gain some bottom end by adding an exhaust and cams.
