    Loreto 400

A fun race leaving from Loreto up to San Javier, down to the Pacific, up the coast, up to La Purisima up and around San Javier, back to Loreto. Sunday, August 12.

Anyone going? We're leaving Tuesday. Last year was a ton of fun.

So many on rdc love desert racing, love the score 250, 500 and 1000 in baja, but not many to make to other races in baja. The race there are so much fun. No points champian, no big contingencies, just fun racing, great parties, wonderful people. Not that I wish that there was time for every race, time to prep, money, time, time for other stuff.... To all, give local baja races a shot.

    Re: Loreto 400

I am interested in learning about the racing in Baja Sur and am wondering about the rules and what it takes to run in a race like the Loreto 400. I have a car in Loreto that is a 5 class want a be but not a class car. I am also a part owner of a house in Loreto and plan to spend moe time down there and hoping to get into the local race scene in some way. Is there somewhere I can get the rules?? Is there a sportsman class??? I have found some sites and there is a 300 mile race in Oct. that I will be down there to see whats going on. I am new and have not learned how to post images to show the car If you can tell me how I will send some pics

    Re: Loreto 400

PT9, I think we've met. I dont know if they have a "rule book". Cars do go through pre race inspection, and post race if you place. I think of it like a MORE or MDR race. Cash money given to the top 3 in each class. Not much in contingency. Lots of fun. I think they do have a sportsman category. Take a look at www.aeabc.com and www.elpagorojo.com for more baja race stuff.

Find me in lto next time your down. I'm heading down tomorrow afternoon taking, prerunning on Friday, fish saturday, race sunday.

Picts can be posted by hitting the "go advanced" button instead of "post quick reply".
