Shock Mounting: Inline vs Side by Side

Building my 5 car and I have some shock mounting questions.

What are advantages or disadvantages of mounting side by side vs mounting shocks inline?

I'll be re-doing the suspension setup and am wondering if it's worth reworking everything to get the shocks in line. I'm replacing my current 2.0 2 tube bypass shocks with some 3.0 4 tube bypass shocks.

    Thanks!

Not much of a differance on the back of a bug. Mostly it boils down to where you have space to get the motion ratio you want.

At the top of the ladder would be space requirements. Down a few rungs would be location or concentration of stress. Below that would be compromises to shock speed.

You guys have gone completely over my head. However, it's given me good terms to search for and learn about.

I'll be back once I educate myself a bit more on the subject.

    Thanks again.
