BIG PROPS to Terry Ingold in 12.
And to Joe Jefferies in 16's, (he always wins, but), one of the nicest guys in off-road racing.
Good Job Guys!!!

Re: MDR California 200 Lucerne
took the SY2 out of semi-retirement for a little fun and deffinetly had some. unfortunatly i had to actually get out of the car durring the race and actually work on it. theres a first time for everything i guess. lol
first lap went great, pushed it fairly hard but didnt go all out. it was an hour and 2 minutes. second lap we were physically in second place when the motor started cutting out intermittantly under a load. the long constant uphill sections combined with the ambient air temp started playing havoc on my fuel system. anyways, we got to pit c and she was sputting real bad, went through check 2 and she just up and died. lol.....oh shiz, i said. haha right in the middle on the corurse in a real sandy section. then the wicked class 11 car had trouble negotiating around me and burried his *** right next to me completly blocking the course. my friend chris was on his way from pit c to assist. we towed out the 11 car first then towed my truck off the course to begin diagnosis. after inspection my conclusion was a bad fuel pump. its still got a mechanical pump that runs off the cam. so we radio back to main for parts. my buddy Jake and crew put his Kreger 4 seater on rails to get me the spare pump. got it swaped and fired up and were back on our way. almost an hour had passed at this point while we were sitting there. took off and after another 10 miles it started cutting out again. that was no buna. haha....anyways, we made it back to main where we took apart the carb for inspection of the needle/seat and float level as well as blowing through all the fuel lines and filter. no problems were found. after a meeting of the minds we concluded that due to the heat the fual pump was just plain vapor locking and starving the carb. we dumped water on it to cool it down and pulled the hood off to get more air flow. took off for lap 3 to see how far we could make it and without the hood on it she ran like a top. with the exception of the hanging dust everywhere i flogged the truck pretty hard to get to the finish. an electric fuel pump will be the next upgrade for the truck. lol
and yes all the HID lights on the truck are BOLT lights. each a 50 watt unit. and yes they are damn good! i was amazed at the amount of quality light that they produced. the the wide pattern of light lets you overlap them all for 100% coverage in a huge radius in front of the truck. thank you Jeff for the oppurtunity to rep your product!
also this race my old man was co-doggin the first two laps. this was his first time ever riding in a race car, or mine for that matter at race speeds. we had a blast and he sure loved that horn! haha. and my long time friend James rode the 3rd lap with me.
thanks to all my friends that came out to support and help me and thanks as well to Bolt lights, total chaos, deaver spring and racerunner shocks!, my long time sponsors that truely support me. i couldnt race without you guys.
and just as a side note....take my hour and 2 minute first lap time and multiply that times 3 and the andersons would have lost. oh well its all good. congrats to the victors and finishers.
