Bronco Fuel Cell
Setting up my bronco prerunner and tring to figure out the fuel cell. Not much room to play with, has any one used a fuel cell and how many gallons did you end up with? Worried about depth and height at full bottom

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
I know at one point Fuel Safe made a cell specific for the Bronco and I'm pretty sure it was ready to drop in and bolt up. I dont know if they still offer it though. I'll try and find out for you as I'm looking for something as well.

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
Hey Scott,
Aren't you building a 95 Bronco prerunner? Any new pics of your build?

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
Looks like the RacerX one is a Fuel Safe unit. Is this the one your talking about pb_pilot?

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
Yep, that's the one.
Fuel safe "used to" make a 35 and 50 gallon drop in tank for the Bronco. They now call these "custom" tanks and they're twice the price and double the lead time.
Mike was working on a larger cell with them but now they only seem to be interested in doing "custom" cells.

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
Ok so I spent several hours measuring for the fuel cell. looks like I need to go with a custom cell because of the Prefun rear sway bar location. Next question How much ground clearance do I need to keep this tank off the crown on the race tracks. I set up race cars at 4" full compression but thats on the belly pan not a fuel tank. That super cell from Fuel safe would have approx 7-8" of clearence and would extend well below the third member at full compression. Has anyone used Aero Tech Services for a fuel cell, I have heard good things and pricing is better than Fuel Safe.

Re: Bronco Fuel Cell
I have several friends that have used the ATS fuel cell in their prerunner and a few that use them in stock class racecars. All seem to like them, no problems. And yes they are quite a bit cheaper. As for ground clearence I wouldn't want it lower then the third member, that could lead to a lot of damage. But I am a buggy guy so what do I know about trucks.
