In all seriousness there are a handful of people making money racing. There are those who own shops building trucks, parts etc. Most of the "big time" teams have companies doing other things such as Casinos, Hotels, Gas Stations, Real Estate, Car dealerships etc and racing just funds their fun! Then there are those who get big dollars from sponsors...
