Okay after being forever it seems :/, my mom is finally letting me go and finance a bike in 2 weeks , but the thing is idk if i want a bike or quad??? its killin me.

so this is whats up
i have an = amount of friends who ride both
i have = as much fun on either

so basically im just woundering like whats just overall a better set up for the desert?(whoops,loose gravel,sand,)

im not being way picky cause ill only be able to go up to a bike around 4100$ just cause i need the rest of the money to pay it off and to start modding.

what i was looking at in bikes were

Thats what I'd narrow it down to. Have you thought about buying used? Thats how I'd go. It also depends on the riding you will be doing, not on the riding you wish you would be doing. Just be honest with yourself.

the riding i will be doing is basically str8 up nevada desert...i ride alot in gravel,rocks,whoops

If you are thinking about quads.....you have a least got to consider the Cam-Am 800cc Renegade. This sport quad is a runner! I got to ride one this past weekend and have got to say that Rotax motor SPINS and the quad handles awesome in the terrain at speed.

Raced my nephew on a Honda TRX 450 (set-up for racing) from a dead stop and took him to school.

Yeah i wish...remember imma have to finance it right now and 4100 is pretty much my limmit on how much i want the bike to coast, so most likley everything i posted will be 05 and down im thinkin

well if your limit is 4100, you will have to go with a bike. all you will get for 4100 if you buy a quad is something that will need a bunch of money put into it if you want to be happy with it. go with a bike you will be able to afford to make it a lot better for a lot less money.

oh and go with the CRF 450x... its the only way to go for a dezert/track/anything bike

Also depends on how tall you are and how much you weigh about, if you're about 150 pounds, pretty sure a YZ250F could get you around pretty easily and falls under your budget, should be easy to maintain too
