If you read again Ken Taperts own words from the other Thread about this issue you will see"Read" first hand from the only source that matters "KEN's" that he was NOT allowed to watch the part of the inspection that involved the Compression check!
I spoke to Ken again Last week and some things were somewhat cleared up, He was allowed to tear his Engine down along with I believe Tom Vanderplog, in order to give them access to the heads and crank for inspection but were not allowed to help or watch as the CCing and Comp. was being checked!!! And both of these guys have told me the same story! they were "RIGHT THERE" when it happened so you can not get a better story than that as far a truth goes!
Also it is clear that Art was there helping but was not in charge of Tech. or the way in which it was being conducted, so as far as Art is concerned he's off the hook but it would be nice if he could explain why he thought Ken was not allowed to watch the Comp. test. other than he was not making the calls?
This issue needs to be redirected toward SCORE and Mr. Bill Savage who was in charge and should be able to give us his first hand view and opinion of the situation and why "HIS" Tech crew did not allow Ken's team to watch the entire tech process! Rob S. #975
