Deavers and the axle
I bought the total chaos deaver kit for the 89 toyota, I was wondering if I could easily swap a ford 9" in at a later date, and still bolt the deavers to them or am I stuck with the stock toyota rear end?
If I am stuck with the yota rear end, is there any way to "lock it" with a limited slip, etc.?
It is a street driven truck so a spool is not an option.

Re: Deavers and the axle
You have lots of options for the rear. I am running a Detroit Truetrac Limited Slip in my 92. I got my set up as a new third member with 4.88 gears and then just installed it on a Saturday. You can also look at air lockers or even making a Toyota electric locker from a taco work (requires a little fab).
It will also make a difference on what housing you have. Are you 3.0 or 22RE, 2 or 4 wheel drive?
