upgrade trans parts for 4l60e

my trans is starting to slip real bad on the 1-2 and 3-4 upshifts on light acceleration. if im in it hard from a stop it shifts nice and crisp. but if im on the freeway crusing and i burry it to pass someone you can feel the clutches grabbing and releasing 3-4 times before it hooks up and goes. and sometimes when i come to a stop it will stay in 3rd and when i go to take off it shudders and hunts for 2nd and slams in hard and then again for 1st. its got 65k miles on it and i drive it hard and i tow with it and its never even had as little as a fluid change so i figure its rebuild time.

i can get factory parts to rebuild it but if im going to the trouble to tear it apart then i might as well put some upgraded parts into it. where can i find aftermarket parts for this trans?

since this truck is the weekend play toy what should i do about a torque converter...higher or lower stall speed?
