I heard he was very good at time management, and detail orentied with preparation of race cars.

It is sad to hear about his family's loss, but good to remember his acomplishments in life!!
Harley was very good at what he did ! If we had to fix something during the race, he knew exactly what was needed before the truck even got to the pit. One of my favorite memories was the very first Nevada 500, Harley, myself and the Kishiyama brothers changed the front end in the Dodge in 45 minutes, that was a PIT stop. Harley had us all organized and before the truck stopped, we had the correct wrenches in our hands to complete our assigned part of the change...even Fricker was impressed !

I met Harley after he left Stroppe, And quickly became good friends. His fabrication and mechanical skill where unbelievable. I would love to know half of what he ever forgot. I heard all the stories of the old day's with the Dodge. Its nice to hear everybody else stories as well. He will truelly be missed by many. Rest in peace my friend.

Re: The loss of a fellow off-roader

On be half of the Doyle family I just wanted to say thank you for everyone's comments. They meant alot to his wife and son's. We just got back from his celebration of living this past weekend. I grew up with Harley's youngest son Josh. Harley was a awsome person, it was sad he had to go so early. I just wish I would have taken more advantage of the knowledge he had to offer. But again that you for all your support. For those who can and want to donate we might be doing a fund raiser for the family. To help pay for some of the medical cost. We will keep you posted.
