the fire and the race
while i fully understand that any inconvenience or problems we might have to deal with with our preparation for the mil are nothing compared to what folks evacuated or worse are going through , i'd still be interested to know how this tragic event has affected racers in these areas. how have things changed for you a nd your efforts. in my case, i'll prolly lose a couple of guys scheduled to fuel the truck on the upper part of the course. i'm not sure yet, and that's part of the problem. like i stated, these are tiny bridges to cross compared to alot of folks problems, but i'm curious none the less.. hopefully this thread will be one with few responses..

Re: the fire and the race
It may be a bit of an awkward weekend for all racers. I'm assuming many will be affected...but like you said, small beans. I bet all the racers will pull together and help eachother out like we all do out there. If you need some gas on the top side of the course...i bet someone will step up to help you out.
I am hoping the race will be a nice change of scenery. We are gonna make sure our local evac shelters have what they need, then we will head on out there.
See you in the dez
