i was wondering what oil everybody was runnning in there motor and tranny. I was thinking about running royal purple becuase i can get it for a good price through my friends shop

We run Valvoline 20/50 racing in the motor and Gear Oil from RC Trans!!!

Valvoline 20/50 and Torco RTF Gear Oil. Straight 50 for the 110 degree races.

Valvoline 20/50 racing motor oil. But we are trying a Redline oil to see how it works. In the trans we run Redline Shock proof (heavy weight)with great results. Our broken ring & pinions droped 75% with that oil.

Castrol in the engine case and a special mixture I use for the trans.

Yes I do. We use the 80w140 with a 1/2 quart of Lucas Stabilizer. I have not had any issues to date. About 1000 miles on our race trans and about 4000 miles apiece on 2 pre-runners.

is 80w-140 the average weight for the tranny or plain old 75-90 what brand does everybody else use
