Re: 1400 race 88' toyota
The metal is cut with a plasma thden hand finished with a burr king 760.
I guess i havent posted on here in awhile. In may I started my Low voltage contracting company and opened up a 1100 sq ft shop to both work on the truck and run the company. Well it completely blindsided me when in june I had a large clothing company sign almost $1 mil in contracts for a Audio/video integration system that I was sure I was going to be outbid on. That work has spiraled into me hiring three guys, payroll, a 30,000sqft house coming out of the ground in newport is about to sign, etc... So as I see it right now I will work 7 days a week to hoard as many jobs as possible while they are here and after it has all calmed down, I will finish the truck. Its crazy how in life you strive to make more money to support your hobby and better your life and thn when you least expect it, your hobbies kinda get put on the back burner and your hobby becomes reaching that next milestone in your career or success.
My dilema right now with the project is, camburg is directly across the street from me and I get to see all these fancy tig welded parts coming for their project and I fear this 1400 truck will never race and will only become a prerunner for what I am eyeing on the jig table at camburg.
As of right now I was screwed by desert specialties so Jason at tube works picked up the slack and finished my rear end off with his hubs, his 300m gundrilled axles, and made new brake caliper mounts to affix the new Baer six piston calipers that the truck now has. The front hubs i was able to aquire some DS hubs from Scott at camburg for the front end and Camburg also got me all the radiators and tranny/oil coolers as well as taking care of me on my third member.
So below is a picture of how the truck sits now with its new redesigned lower arms and a mountain of parts wating to be put in it. The unit next to mine is vacant in a few weeks so I am trying to get a lease date to match the unit i have now and move the whole truck project over there and have more room for the aluminum sheet metal tools i want to get to do the panels and interior. With current work load and schedules I wont be laying a finger on this thing untill mid february.

Thanks for the comments guys Its really hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes.
I use the ISAT kits for supporting my cable trays in buildings I do large scale network cabling in. We just finished an office building that had 12" wide 4" tall tray at 104% capacity with cata cabling in it that the engineer calculated it weighed 21lbs per foot, had to seismic supports it with ISAT kits to pass inspection. We are bidding on a new corporate office for JAck in the box in San Diego that will have tray twice that size with Isat suports every ten feet of tray on 600 feet of tray.
Just to give you and idea why i cant think about building this thing right now. heres a pic of a little server room, only about 1400 or so cables end in here.

Try doing hospital work with OSHPD. You will soon find your self feeling like you are keeping ISAT in business. Between all of the trades we literraly had 10,000 kits.
Back on topic. The truck looks great and will finish nice when you can fined the time!

Yeah...hire me, I'll tinker with your truck all day long for gas money!
But seriously, just posting so I can keep track of your progress.
Congrats on the clothing line deal too! I'm sponsored by SixFeetDeep for mtn biking, but I'm thinking they're gonna like horsepower too...

Been Extremely busy since my last post over a year ago. Have since moved shops, built a whole new shop and the truck sat for about 7 months not getting touched.
I out some time in it the past few weeks and finished getting her on her own weight again. I need some parts for the front shocks to work properly with the cycle of the front end, finish some engine cage tubes and then she rolls to RPM for exhaust.
Craig Hall helped out with the upper arms, he designed and laser cut them a few months back and it helped out and turned out awesome.
Travel numbers are 24" front 86" wide
28" rear 88" wide
