I second that! I gave up a ride on the 4X team because Park City is too far from the border and 3 weeks away pre-running and racing would have cut hard into the already thin wallet. This is a tough week for those of us that couldn't make it South. At least we can commiserate on RDC while the lucky ones are in Mex.

In 05 whil suffering from "dust to glory syndrome" me and a couple guys from work said screw it lets just go right now. We jumped in the truck and drove straight thru the night from phx to ensanada. Stopping only to pick up a couple sleeping bags and camping chairs from wallmart before we left. Got to town at 4am and talked our way into a hotelroom and slept far a couple hours. Then we hung out at the wash for a few hours and headed south after that. We found a honda pit and parked on the side of the course and wached everyone rip past us all night finally passing out in our chairs. Drove right back home the next day. We went over 1000 miles under the time limit too. I have been all over the world and even on an affrican safari and will always remember that as one of the greates trips of my life. The fact that we did it without any planning made it even mor of an adventure. I wanna see some pics too so i can relive the experience.
