class 12 chassis
I'm working on a new rear susp with dual pivot arms. Is there a specific vertical dimension between the "torsion housing" cross rail and the 2 middle rails? What is the reason the mid-rails go under the cross tube? Can the cross rail be recessed into the mid-rails?
Is 1.5" .120 enough for the "torsion housing" rail?
What is the minimum wall thickness for members not required to be 1.5" .120 (like mid/bottom rails)? .095? .065? How about minimum thickness for 1" diagonals?
In regard to B pillar/rear hoops: Is it better to have the "elbow" top rail continuous with upper hoop and lower B pillar pieced in (this is what I'm used to)? Or have the rear hoop continuous floor to roof with the top elbow rail interrupted?
Thanks,
Grayson
