More Issues in Baja
Warning to all teams and travelers returning from Baja...
Just received a phone call from the Hall family (Chris is Sourapas' truckdriver)
They were taken at gunpoint last night, truck and trailer stolen and left out in the middle of nowhere... All happened within sight of the TJ tollboth by what appeared to be 2 black unmarked police cars.. let all friends and family still returning frim the 1000 know- DO NOT STOP FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE OUTSIDE OF POPULATED AREAS!
Also keep an eye out for a white superduty/Andy McMillin RedBull trailer...
Travel in large groups, be careful, lets get everybody home safe. Please pass this info along.

I sat/talked with Chris @ the drivers meeting and he was NOT heading down with Steve for the Mil (unsure why).
He said he was heading down with the McMillins.
NOTE: I HAVE NO CLUE IF HE WAS DRIVING THEIR SEMI OR NOT, i am just noting that he told me he was heading down with them.

Ok so it was the McMillins truck that Chris was driving and got stolen and not Sourapas Semi truck and trailer? The way the first post was writen I thought Sourapas Simi was stolen and also McMillins truck and trailer too.

Chris Hall was in Loreto pitting for us at the race. Not Sourapas. He was driving home a truck and the Andy McMillin / Red Bull trailer home when it happened. Not Sourapas' truck/trailer. Glad to hear that the Hall family is safe! The truck and trailer can be replaced! Efffin' banditos!
*Note* The incident happened at 1:00 am. TRAVEL TOGETHER! And DO NOT STOP UNTIL YOU ARE AT THE TOLL BOOTH!

Thanks for clearing that up before the rumor mill took over.
Glad they are safe, others haven't been so lucky.
