Lookin' good. Did you make the fuel cell straps? If not, where did you get them?

    Thanks,
    G.

Thanks for the complement. The fuel cell strap was made buy Steve @ Griffith Welding. It’s a simple design, just some strap material bent to conform to the cell and then tig welded together with a slip bolt going through it on each side. I’ll post a close-up picture of the strap.

    Steve,

I looked into mounting it close to the pump but then it would hang over the exhaust or be in the way of the spare. What would you suggest? I have seen people mount it close to the pump and on the fire wall. I know that there wouldn’t be any problem if I had a type IV but with a type I isn’t there a concern about a fire like the picture of the 1600 car?

i believe the feed line from the res. to the pump should never be longer than 2 feet (atleast thats what howe recomends).

the car is looking good! keep up the nice work!

I picket up some 4130 plate and built a small riser box for the shifter to sit on. I just haft to drill 4 holes in the bottom to mount it to the 4 tabs I welded on the center brace and then drill the top and install some inserts to thread the shifter bolts to.

I decided to build my own res. mount because I didn't like what I found out there on the market. Here are some pics
